Why a ceramic café is the perfect activity
A ceramic café combines creativity, relaxation, and cosiness. You don’t need any experience to join in – it’s all about the process! With a good cup of coffee or matcha by your side, you pick a piece of ceramic, choose your colours, and let your imagination run free. It’s easy to get into, mindful, and you go home with something completely unique. You can work at your own pace, making it a perfect way to unwind and clear your head for an afternoon (or evening).
Perfect for a day out in Rotterdam
Rotterdam is full of creative hotspots, and ceramic cafés fit right in. Whether you're looking for a unique date idea, a team outing, something fun with friends, or just a moment for yourself – painting ceramics is always a good plan. There are several places in the city where you can paint ceramics, but one café stands out for its vibe, its style, and its personal touch...

KERA café: A creative spot in the centre of Rotterdam
KERA Café is a ceramic café where you’ll feel right at home. With specialty coffee, an inspiring interior, and a display full of treats, you’ll want to stay all afternoon. Choose your ceramic piece, paint away, and we’ll glaze and fire it for you. A few weeks later, your finished piece will be ready for pickup – baked and beautiful.
Good to know: KERA Café is open all week – except Mondays and Tuesdays. On weekdays we’re open until 8:00 PM, so you can come by after work or study and get creative.

Painting ceramics is mindful!
In a world where everything moves fast, ceramic painting gives you a moment to breathe. It’s a break from screens, a chance to create something with your hands, and the perfect setting for a good chat – or a bit of quiet time. It’s both mindful and social, and that’s exactly why it’s become so popular. Want to give it a try? Come visit KERA Café in Rotterdam. You can reserve a table or just walk in – and see for yourself why so many people love ceramic cafés.
